This used to be a divey kind of neighborhood bar and is now a cozy bar & grill with surprisingly good food. The menu is limited but adventurous and the prices range within $3-$6 with an occasional daily special roaming a few dollars higher. Frenchy's restaurant next door shares the same owner and the finer sensibilities show themselves in Zanzibar's menu, like the Fried Calamari with spicy tomato mayonnaise or the vegetarian/ratatouille/shiitake and spinach panini. The service is a bit slow. Nice for lunch. (Plus, I like any place that describes a wine in their menu as "yummy".)
