Worst restaurant I've been to in the Alhambra area. Service is absolutely horrible. Let me stress on how horrible Hop Woo is. I left my family dinner early because I was soo disgusted by the way we were treated by the waiters and waitresses. First, the waitress grabbed the soup server spoon away from my cousin, saying that there wasn't enough soup? I mean wth? We are paying customers. Then another waitress brought over some water saying in a rude manner, "Do you want water? Come get it. If you don't want any, then don't get it." Also, servers tend to slam the plates on the table. A relative of mine then asked for some bowls,but they did not give us any, instead gave us some spoons, when we asked for bowls, the manager decided to bitch at us, and decided that he not to give us any bowls. I would not reccommend this place to anyone looking for chinese cuisine in the SGV area. You are better off going down to valley blvd or to San Gabriel. I have never seen a group of angry and rude waiters. These guys need to get their act straight. To end it happy, my parents told me that we didn't not tip them in the end.

Some of the best Chinese food I have ever eaten.  Great service and a friendly atmospher which is missing at times in some Chinese restaurants. Feels much more welcoming to non-Chinese as well because of the setting and lighting.
