Best place to have early romantic breakfast in the summer, just after sunrise. It felt like being on the European vacation - classical music in the background, friendly staff, good food,no hurry - pure enjoyment. Absolute winner.

One of Our Favorites
Terrific family place. I have two little girls and they both love it...for the food, the ambiance, the chance to look at the fish in the foyer. My wife and I love it too as the food is always great, incredibly inexpensive and the wait staff is always cheerful and pleasant. One of our favorite places in Oak Park

Best in Oak Park
I've been a regular customer at Thyme and Honey since they first opened. I dine there at least 3 times per week. The staff is gracious and friendly. Sunday morning is crowded, for good reason. It's a very good value, fresh ingredients, courteous staff, moderate prices, excellent menu with much variety. Eclectic and interesting decor. Highly recommended.

Absolutely Our Favorite Oak Park Eatery!
Possibly the best family restaurant in Oak Park; we've been coming to Thyme & Honey since it was Jamie's and have recommended it to our friends. They're still our friends, so I guess they've enjoyed their experiences, as well! As to the "lack of a smile" on the hostess' or waitresses' faces, I've never experienced that: everyone treats you as if you're special. ...and the food! Fruit & veggies are always fresh. The meat is of top quality. Why anyone would complain about T&H is beyond me.

One of the worst experiences ever for breakfast. When we first walked in the door the hostess did not greet us with a smile. It took over 5 minutes for the server to acknowledge us at the table and bring coffee. The Gypsy Steak Skillet was served cold, and when I sent it back they just heated it up in the microwave. Who microwaves steak to serve paying customers? The eggs had a funny taste to them as if they were bad. When I brought up this issue to the hostess as I was paying before leaving, she looked at me like I was crazy and said that is how they always warm up food. I asked her how about serving the food hot right after it is prepared. Her response was "Maybe we are too busy...". A restaurant too busy to serve its customers hot food? Instead of giving a sincere apology she gave me nothing but a rude attitude. I also mentioned to her that I have worked in restaurants and that I always serve the food hot. Her response was "Maybe the places you worked at were not as busy as we are". This place wasn't even half full. They are just very slow with service, and not friendly at all. Food is not all that great. Not worth the $8 for cold steak and egg skillet. The service is very cold like the food they serve. Definitely not concerned about their customers concerns or comments. I will never go there again.
