FUN DATE PLACE
I've been here about 4 times in about a year, each time bringing a new person, The waiters are GREAT one guy rembered what I had ordered 4months before and suggested something new! A little slow, but overall a fun, cheap, neat place to go...(great food!, Love the Spinach Wraps!)
Recommended: Spinach Wrap, try others at random

Good food, slow service
I ate at Thin Pan in June of 2004 for lunch. The restaurant was crowded, but we ordered quickly as to speed up our lunch. 45 minutes later we still had not received our food. Then the food started coming in about 5 minute increments and 20 minutes later all four of us had our food. I ate Beef Sweet Basil and thought it was excellent, albeit a smaller portion than I'm used to at a Thai restaurant. Overall, good food, poor service. If you don't have a 1.5-2 hour lunch break, you may want to avoid this place at lunch-time (you can get your food in 5 minutes at other Thai places within walking distance!)

Some of the best Thai food I've had
We had dinner at Thin Pan on 11/22/03 and loved it. I am a huge Thai food fan; I go to all the Thai restaurants and cook a lot of Thai food at home. I thought this was some of the best food I've had. However, the previous poster was correct on the extremely slow service. The waiter was very pleasant, but the wait for food, even the appetizer, was unacceptable. We had gone to an early dinner, about 5:30 pm, and were two of only four people in the restaurant. But for some reason the food just took forever. Still, we will definitely be giving them another try.

Wow
I thought this place was great. I went there with two other people. We were so interested in the menu and wanted to try everything so we decided to specialize in the starter items. This was a great way to go. We got small plates of many different items. We enjoyed everything and it didn't cost us an arm and a leg. The best thing about this place is that it was definitely Thai but it had some things that I had never seen on a menu at a Thai restauraunt. It was fun to have adveturesome choices. Everything was fresh and tasty. We were also charmed by the staff and the atmostphere. The only negative was that the mussels were a bit overcooked and it was a little noisy, but this was entirely acceptable considering that the prices were more hole-in-the-wall than haute cuisine. I absolutely recommend this place.

Thought it was quite good
My wife and I have been there twice. Found the food quite good. The service was timely and they are some of the friendliest people working at a restaurant. We'd encouarge people to give it a try (it always seems crowded).

A Thin Pan for a Thin Appetite
My wife and I decided to try this restaurant Saturday night (08/02/03). The atmosphere seemed cozy and the prices reasonable for this particular area ($7-$10 range). After a polite greeting, we sat around a narrow rectangular table that seems that barely room for our elbows. Our order consisted of a Thai ice tea ($2.25), a Spinach Wrap ($7.45) and Thai chicken dish ($8.25). After waiting about 15 minutes, the Spinach Wrap came and...Ooooh my goodness!...We did not know how to respond to our surprise! The Spinach wrap consisted of 8 spinach leaves (about 1.5 inches in diameter) spread out at the edges of a 15-inch plate. Inside each leaf was some dried onion flakes and a tiny piece of lime. In the center of the plate was a tiny bowl filled with honey and coconut flakes. The menu advertised 6 different ingredients in that "Wrap" and supposedly included shrimps. My wife's first reaction was: "Where are the shrimps?" As for me, I was still waiting for the waiter to bring the Wraps. I thought it was some kind of appetizer that came with this $7.45 dish. After pouring some honey-coconut sauce on the dried onions placed inside this spinach leaf, my stomach started worrying about our next dish. If this is the Wraps they were advertizing, what was going to be the Thai chicken dish? One 1.5-inch piece of chicken and a couple of slice of onions and red peppers? Unfortunately, I was not far from the truth. We had to wait another 10 minutes to get the second dish (It looks like, they were bringing only one dish at a time. One eats, the other wait, looking around, drooling...). When the Thai chicken arrived, there was now no doubt in my mind, I was still going to be hungry after shelling out $21 (taxes included). The portion was so tiny (rice bowl size) that my wife decided to take only two bites out of it. Both rice bowls were the size of a regular Ice scream scoop, She felt so sorry for me that she let me eat most of it. What topped it off is that the rice bowls were not included with the baby plate of chicken, we had to pay an extra $2. I had to laugh... I had been ripped off before, but never so bluntly and with the smile. 8 spinach leaves with dried onions flakes for $8 (incl. Taxes). I don't think it won't come to a surprise when that business owner closes doors.
