My favorite Thai restaurant in SoCal
Thai Brothers is a small restaurant, often quite full on weekday evenings. The service is very friendly and accomodating. There's a vegetarian section on the menu and other items can be made vegetarian, upon request. The vegetables are very fresh and tasty and they have a nice tofu - smooth but still firm and tasty. There's a great combo appetizer with spring rolls, won tons and daisy. Pad Thai is very good, as are the curries.

Late-Night Thai Lovers Spot
Thai Brothers food is pleasant and plentiful, and their kitchen is opened late. I believe, until 11:00 p.m. Mon-Thurs. and something like 1:00 a.m. Friday and Saturday.

casual setting, big servings..
sister restaurant to laguna thai, this little place is a nice casual establishment in the downtown laguna beach area. Nice enough place, not too bright, not too dark and whilst not perhaps first date material, you and your wife of four years will be very comfortable there. Food-wise, average thai fare. Of particular note, appetizer mee krob - not so much good as an experience (think toffee popcorn in crispy angel hair pasta form) best to share that one amongst four friends as you will want but a taste.
