Best on Roosevelt Ave-IMHO
I haven't eaten at every taqueria on Roosevelt Avenue but of all those (more than a dozen) I've been to, this is the best all around place. The food is generally fresh and well prepared. Service is friendly and competent. There are daily specials that can be interesting to explore but there is one dish that keeps me coming back: enchiladas poblanos. Six enchiladas (beef, chicken or cheese or two of each: mixtos) with the sauce of your choice: verde (rich tomatilla/jalapeno flavor), roja (picante tomato/pepper flavor) or mole (luscious nutty chocolate & spices). Atop the enchiladas and salsa is a salad of avacado, red radish, red onion, cilantro and Mexican parmesan cheese. It's so good that I just finished my take home left overs from last night and just had to come here and try to share as to how good it is. Yum.
