Hey, I'm Thai and even I think this is a great Thai place on the west side of SFV. That says a lot, since I'm typically a snob about how I like my Thai food haha.
Its a little small inside but they are definitely authentic.
I like just about everything there.
The drawback is that I work closer to the 101 and this is closer to the 118.  Crossing the SFV on surface takes longer than I like but I'm spoiled.
I make time for the drive anyway ;)

King's. The bar is sectioned off from the restaraunt area with outside patios for each.
I'm especially fond of the bar here. A little southern feel to it, usually blues on the speakers (no live music, sadly), but sometimes 80s hah. Whats good? I usually go for n'awln's bbq shirmp, new england clambake, or alaskan crab legs (if someone else is buying hahaha).
the King Crab Honey Ale is a great beer in any weather.

Banzai's not bad; its in the old Calabasas area. I would say this place leans more towards the trendy roll side; they certainly are good, however. I'm personally not big on rolls. There was a small live selection and I thought it wasn't as good as it could have been for how good the rolls were.

Oh, they have rum soaked fruit cocktail. I could get smashed all night long and avoid scurvy at the same time!

I dunno -- I like it; a lot of things I've never liked elsewhere have been redeemed at this very sushi bar. The chefs are friendly, the staff is attentive, and the atmosphere is whatever you feel like making of it. You go enough times and they give you your own set of honorary chopsticks. It won't save you money on the bill like a loyalty card but its still pretty cool haha.

Try out the live stuff, they usually have something worth trying.

cheers!

Hello all from Woodland Hills, CA!

I'm not tired of brown-bagging because I just don't do that. I'm here because I'm tired of going to lunch with the same coworkers, listening to their work-related woes, and going over action items.

Seriously, when I'm trying to eat.. the only milestones I'm interested in would be limited to the food in front of me.
=)
