| I'll try anything once.I'm just another one of those 20-something, Chinese American, trombone playing, Geminis that you see everyday on the streets of Los Angeles. I've been studying music since I was six, and have now painted myself into a corner so that I must pursue a career in music or music education. Outside of music, I enjoy gaming on several degrees: Magic: the Gathering, poker, video games, board games... anything, really. I am a member of Cold Tofu Improv, the premiere Asian American Comedy Improv group. I play on a softball team in the Los Angeles Theatre Sports League, and I shoot pool and bowl on occasion.
When I heard there was an online site dedicated to meeting people via lunch, I had to sign up. Outside of music (says the musician), food seems to be the best way to interact with new people.
| Interests: | Friends and Family, Music (piano, trombone), Karaoke, Magic: the Gathering, softball, Cold Tofu Improv, bowling, pool... | | Music: | To listen to, my favorites are 80's New Wave and 90's college rock... um, anything off Death Row records in the 90's, Tonic, Weezer, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Incubus, Orgy (Vapor Transmission), Limp Bizkit (Chocolate Starfish and earlier), Duncan Sheik, 'N Sync (pre-Celebrity), Ellington, Parker, Basie, John Mayer, Maroon 5, Jason Mraz, Boyz II Men (CHH, II), the list goes on.
I've played in two operas, three musicals, and my collegiate music experiences are (CSULA: Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, Symphony Orchestra, Opera Orchestra, Jazz Lab band, Jazz Orchestra, Afro-Latin Jazz band, small jazz combos, Pop Music Ensemble, Brass quintet, Trombone ensemble, Tuba ensemble, International Choir, Concert Choir, Opera Chorus, and Men's A Capella. | | Movies: | My top 5 films are The Princess Bride, Grosse Pointe Blank, Swingers, Say Anything, and High Fidelity. | | Television: | I'm a big fan of the athleticism of professional wrestling (WWE Raw and Smackdown, TNA Impact). Futurama and Family Guy are the best 1-2 punch that Cartoon Network has. Home Movies is great too, for those who like the old Dr. Katz animation style. The Office is one of the funniest shows today. Love Monkey has its moments, and hits close to home, dealing with music and romance. | | Books: | The last books I read that I really enjoyed were all shakespeare plays for a class, but I realy liked them. The books I'll always love are The Westing Game, King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, I'm 40% through "The Arabian Nights", and I'm planning to start "Love Monkey" soon. | | Available (Who): | I'd love to meet anyone that shares an affinity for any of the things I've listed. I'm not one to be picky about meeting people. | | Available (What): | I do not own a pair of rollerskates. I cannot ride a bike. I have a slight fear of heights. I wll do anything that will not involve any combination of those issues. | | Available (Where): | It's pretty safe to say that I wouldn't mind going most places. Italian, Japanese, and Mexican are my favorite foods, but I can always each Chinese food. If you're ever in the Chinatown area, I highly recommend Phillipe's for a french dip sandwich, or skip over to J-town to Sushi Gen for the best sushi in L.A. | | Available (When): | Mondays between 12-4 and after 8, Tuesdays between 1-4 and after 8, Wednesdays between 12-4 and after 10, Thursdays between 1-4 and after 10, Fridays between 12-1, after 5, Weekends after 1pm |

Bump it. I've never tried it, but the combination sounds pretty good to me.
Pickles in your pastrami sandwich?

The best date I've been on was when I took a girl to the Hollywood Bowl to see the LA Philharmonic perform Vivaldi's "Four Seasons". We went to the market to pick up some food to pack in a picnic basket and bring with us to the Bowl. After the show, we sat in the car (waiting for parking to clear out), listening to my cds, then went out for tapioca drinks.

The person below me puts ketchup onto his/her fries (instead of the puddle method for dipping).
