Finally a Great Place in North County
Finally a great and reasonably priced restaurant in San Diego's North County. You'd never expect to find a good restaurant let alone a great one in this strip mall in Encinitas but you'd be wrong. Savory is a great casual dining experience with fine dining food. The menu is varied and has everything from seafood to beef to lamb to vegetarian dishes. The appetizers include an awesome onion soup and a truly incredible escargot topped with puffed pastry. Keep in mind, this is not a "turn and churn" place. It is a relaxed dining experience where you typically order your entree after you've finished your first course. No ordering everything all at the same time here. The desserts are wonderful as well. The best thing is that the prices range from $13-$21 with most entrees being uder $18. A true jewel in North County's dining portfolio!
