Fantastic Healthy BBQ
Fresh meats, fresh ingredients, great atmosphere and service. This is not a low-fat establishment or a greasy-spoon but a real home cooked BBQ restaurant. The meat literally falls off of the bone and all ingredients are fresh and home made. I am person who eats low fat and health conscious meals - but I don't mind falling off of the wagon here! Great great food! Strongly recommeneded. Portions are large! Lots of parking. Pleasanton's best kept secret.
Recommended: all the rib dishes are good, greens are great and so are the yams

Rivals the Best in the Bay Area
For good old fashioned ribs, this is the place to go in the far East bay. It certainly rivals the very best in Oakland and now I don't have to drive. Roderick is a bundle of energy moves so fast he is entertaining to watch as he multi tasks. He has all of those old favorites from greens and sweet potatoes to catfish and brisket. A casual kind of place to eat in or you can take out.
Recommended: pecan pie (better than grandma's, even)
