Rita's Old French Quarter
Wonderful casual dining experience. Comfortable little corner restaurant, with authentic, down-home cooking. The waiter was the best; I was dining alone, and made me feel right at home. He was running the entire dining area, yet no one felt rushed nor ignored. I sampled the ribs, and they were everything I hoped for. He recommended the shrimp ettouffe, stating it was the best in the country . . . it may very well be - it was absolutely delicious. He treated me to a sample of his bananas foster, gratis - a wonderfully sinful end to my dining treat. My meal, with a glass of wine, was under $25. It almost made me feel guilty, as I enjoyed it so much. If and when I have the opportunity to visit New Orleans again, they can count on my visit.
Recommended: Ettouffe; Ribs (but, probably anything on the menu)
