Pozi's Grill
Because I frequent the Mann 9 theatre (Tarzana, CA....a small, sub-municipality in Los Angeles in a vast area generally called the San Fernando Valley) a great deal, I (happily) happened upon Pozi's grill. Not only is the Greek food (a specialty) very good but they feature practically every American style food known to (wo)mankind. ***Everything ***is good there. From sandwiches to soups to souvlaki (salad style or in a pita). You name it they have it (Greek & American). My favorite is the eggplant (chopped/grilled) dip. The pita is served warmed and that makes all the difference. Equally on my favorite list is anything served with lamb from the Spit (the lamb is always tender and exquisitely flavored. Love the fries. Love the burgers. Everything is usually made to taste. Good old fashioned down-home customer service. Pozi's is located inside a small shopping center right at the dead end intersection of Yolanda and Ventura Blvd. The parking there is very limited BUT one can park in the Tarzana public parking zones across the street behind the buildings (the laneway goes for blocks, plenty of spots)and there are no meters there ( a good thing).

Best gyros in the Valley
Pozi's is a small family restaurant that does a busy lunchtime business. They make the best gyros in the San Fernando Valley. Other dishes are both authentic and good. I never miss going to Pozi's if I have to be in the Tarzana area on my lunch hour. If you take pita sandwiches for carry out, make sure you order sauce on the side. That way you can add it when you are ready to eat, avoiding soggy pita bread.
