A Palooza of a Place
What's a "palooza"? Well, I'm not really sure... But it sounds like a good word to describe the terrific Sicilian-style slices from this small storefront shop in a shopping center on busy Needham St. The slices are generously-sized (they are always cut in two for easy eating) and usually offer an interesting choice of toppings that range far beyond the standard pepperoni or cheese. While salads and sandwiches are also offered, I haven't yet been tempted to stray from the pizza. The ambiance is that of a typical pizza/sub shop, though a bit cleaner than many. The tables and small counter inside the shop are somewhat cramped. The best thing to do (in nice weather) is to take advantage of the few tables set up outside. Even though the view is of the streaming traffic, it's still nicer than being cooped up inside.
