This is one of our favorite cheap and fast food haunts. Where else can you get dinner for three for under $20 with tax and tip and it's healthy to boot. Try an enormous bowl of Pho - vietnamese soup with noodles and other stuff (your choice) we get the first one on the list #22 with slices of raw beef that are cooked via the heat of the soup. The biggest bowl costs $4.75 and is enough for 3-4 people to share as a starter. Favorite dishes include #38 - we ask for it not too well done - thinly sliced and marinated pieces of grilled pork over a bowl of noodles and salad greens with marinated carrots and daikon radish with the nuc chom sauce to pour over the whole thing. A yummy healthy meal in a bowl for $4!!! There are always lots of vietnamese and other Asian customers there with a sprinkling of us gringos. The decor - well it's a hole in the wall - but the food is great and the price is right! Other good dishes - grilled pork chop over rice, coconut chicken curry with french bread to dip in the gravy, sesame and lemongrass beef - both of those are a production with really cool rice noodle cakes, lettuce leaves and pickled veggies you make a spring roll of sorts with the meat in the middle and the lettuce on the outside - this dish is "expensive" it costs 7.95.
