Palermo's is the best
I used to live in Oak Lawn and now I live in Florida there's not a better restaurant in Chicago than Palermo's. Palermo's specializes in there thin crust pizza and there regular crust pizza are the best in the world!!!! I have yet to taste a pizza in Florida that comes close to a Palermo's pizza!!

Best Pizza I've Found
I lived in the southside of Chicago when I was young and grew up on Parlermos's Pizza. I moved away 15 years ago and I still make a yearly pilgrimage to Oak Lawn for some Palermo's pizza no matter where I'm living. They have a great selection of other Italian dishes too. I still can't find a place that outdoes Palermo's--my current location in Ohio is a pretty bad pizza locale. I can't wait for their "ship a pizza anywhere" option on palermosonline.com!

I grew up in Oak Lawn, too....
Yet I had never eaten at Palermo's. When we took our daughter to see the sights in Chicago this past August, we looked for a place to eat...and ended up at Palermo's. No neon sign, very plain appearance, so what a surprise to find a GREAT restaurant--genuine Italian food and a very welcoming atmosphere. They couldn't have been nicer hosts--and the pizza was fantastic. Strongly recommend this place.

One of the Best Italian Restaurants in Oak Lawn
Palermo's is a very good Italian restaurant, which has many different pasta dishes, entrees, not to mention pizza! They have authentic Italian dishes, but they aren't overly heavy or rich like some restaurants make them. They definitely don't suffer in the taste category either. I have some friends coming in from Wisconsin this weekend, and they requested Chicago pizza. I told them we HAVE to go to Palermos. This restaurant is definitely a place to try if you don't know where to go for Italian food in the area of Oak Lawn, IL.
Recommended: definitely Chicken SanRemo, pretty much any dish

Palermo's Fan From Way Back When
We used to go to the original location on 63rd street, west of Kedzie. Then, it was Oak Lawn. Now I live in Manteno and still travel 50 minutes north to Oak Lawn.

Help, We Need Good Pizza In Venice, Florida
I'll admit it, Palermo's has spoiled me. Having grown up in Oak Lawn, I was a frequent consumer of the delicious food which Palermo's serves, so I was used to eating what I consider to be the best pizza anywhere. Having been to 48 out of 50 states, I feel qualified to make that statement. I have recently moved to Florida and am sorry to say that there is not a pizza in this state worthy of sharing a plate with Palermo's pizza.
Recommended: shrimp and garlic pizza
