Friendly Fine Food
Oysters offers steak, seafood, and pacific fusion in an atmosphere of white linen tablecloths and fine art. Service in the dining room is pleasant, though not fast, and the experience can be louder than ideal if you are too close to the bar on a Thursday, Friday, or Saturday. That’s when there’s live music, though there certainly isn’t any room for dancing. For the fastest service, grab a stool at the bar, and you will soon have the personal attention of Rogelio, George, or James. Most of the entrees are in the mid twenties, and beer is $5 a pint. Hearty stir-fries go for the low to mid teens. The menu takes pains to describe each of the oysters offered, though you should really try them all to appreciate their differences. The filet mignon has come out cooked to perfection every time. The only item on the menu that has given me trouble is the spicy tuna roll -- it is spiced to a level appropriate for Thai food.
