Oki's is not what it once was. It is dirty and the service is bad. We made 8pm reservations and waited 45 minutes to be seated. I first dined at Oki's 15 years ago and it was a great experience. Now, the chefs cannot perform their tricks well anymore, the bathrooms are dirty with overflowing wastebaskets, water all over the sink and they SMELL. Makes me wonder how clean the kitchen really is. The food is still good, but at prices 5 star restaurants charge, $25 dollars a plate, they should hire a cleaning crew. They also try to trick you into buying fried rice when you place your order. Try Shogun in Warwick, it is what Oki's once was in it's heyday.

Absolutely Amazing
I love absolutely everything about this place. From the quaint lounge and friendly knowledgable staff to the exciting "in your face" exhibition cooking. My group had a few first timers but the waitress didnt mind going over almost every item listed on the menu for them. Our chef couldnt quite nail one of his tricks, but with the other chefs nearbye laughing at him, it was even more enjoyable. Drinks and refills were prompt, the chef put on a great show and the bill was divided correctly into couples. What really impressed me, was that in conversation I mentioned I didnt care for the hot mustard. When the chef dished out the sauces, I got extra ginger instead. Didnt even have to ask. The dinner was delicious and kept coming. Definitely a large enough portion to take home and at a very good price. I cant say enough good things about Oki's!

My boyfriend ate mushrooms!!!
I recently visited Oki's for my birthday and it was great. My boyfriend has always been anti-vegetable, especially the "icky" kind like mushrooms. But even he ate everything they put in front of him here. The whole experiance was great although a fish delivery kept letting in cold air. On the upside, I knew that the sushi was super fresh! And honestly, that's more important.

Not Bugs! Iri Goma!!
Just writing a response to Kristen who found bugs in her food from Oki's. I eat a lot of Japanese food and I'm sure what she saw was roasted Sesame Seeds. Unless they were moving, they were not bugs!!! Oki's is the best you can get in this area (without going to Japan). If you like Mackeral, try the Saba Miso. Oki's Hibachi is OK for the average American but if you want real variety and authenticity, try the side dishes as they offer the most opportunity to broaden your culinary horizons. Don't just eat the fried or vegetable dishes. Go with the fish!! Don't be afraid to try new things!! Oki would never allow bugs in their food and there has never been any cleanliness issues or compliance issues as far as I have know and I should know (freelance food critic)... Go out and have fun!!

Good food but agree on poor management
Oki's food is very good. Fried rice is a bit on the dry side. Steak & Chicken is great. I just love the sauces. The cooks don't preform like they use to either. It's been awhile since I've been to Oki's. Personally I prefer Shogun in Warwick much better. It's much nicer inside and cleaner. The prices are cheaper and the food is just as good if not better. There fried rice is great and I believe Sun-Wed you get FREE fried rice with your meal. Try it.. You'll love it.

Good Food- Bad Management- Too small
I came here with my family for my birthday and was quite amused with the show put on by the chefs. They give you such a huge portion you have to take some home, however when I ate the food the next day I noticed small black bugs in the leftovers. I called the Manager to let him know and he totally snubbed me off...Also the place isn't too big or nice inside, for the money you pay, you would think they would make it nicer.

Great food - Long wait
I have been to the Oki three times now and always enjoy the food. Each time I tried a different meal and each time it was delicious! My only complaint is that even though I've had reservations there has been a 45 to 60 min wait to be seated.

Superb
I have yet to taste better steak or chicken, and that's saying something considering my father's neverending search for the perfect steak. While Oki's is not the only Japanese steak house I've dined at, it is certainly the best in terms of food and performance in my experience.
Recommended: Any and all. Definately get an order of Pork Dumplings for your appatizer, as well.

Awesome food
This is my favorite restaurant. It is a bit pricey. But I highly reccomend the Filet and Lobster and the California roll of sushi. The hibachi chefs put on quite the show there are a few who are better than others but all in all they are awesome.

Geat Food
Oki's is a terrific restaurant! They offer wonderful food with great service. You receive a wide variety of food with all the meals and the people are very friendly and enthusiastic They put on a great show while preparing your food too. I would recommend you order a side of fried rice with your meal though. Also inform them before hand if you don't like onions or mushrooms.

Oki's good food, good fun
I get up to Oki's several times a year and always enjoy the food and fun of this Japanese Steakhouse. The sushi bar is always welcoming before you sit down and the expanded lounge has plenty of room. I suggest you make a reservation thought as it's always packed. The hibachi features several choices including combos of steak and shimp, chicken and swordfish. The filet mignon is wonderfully succulent and the shrimp are always tasty. You cannot beat food fresh off the grill. The swordfish is very good also and I would recomend bringing your appetite. Meals come with salad with a nice ginger based dressing, plenty of vegetables, onion flavored soup, rice and your meal. I recommend the steak and shrimp combo and the kapa sushi. You pay for the show here so bring your wallet, but it's well worth the fun. The chefs do a wonderful job here. The only bad things I found was that it was a little too dimly lit and the areas around the tables could be kept up a little more. The rugs looked dirty. This building is on the second floor and is handicapped accesible although the bathrooms, last time I visited were not.
