It's All True
I used to work in Holbrook. My co-workers and I have visited many many times. This pizza could easily start a franchise. There is a restaurant in Pembroke, Ma called "Poopsies". Rumor has it that the owner used to be co-owners with the owner of Lynwood. Then they went their seperate ways, one kept the Lynwood, the other opened Poopsies in Pembroke. I dont know if this is true but the pizza is identical. Most people on the South Shore know about one restaurant or the other. I happen to live near one and worked near the other. Anyway both places are legends for their pizza. It is one size only (pub style). If you ever visit either place you will become addicted. There is nothing special about either place other than the pizza, so takeout is the best option. I have heard all different rumors about how this pizza is made. One thing I know is if I could figure it out, I would be a rich man.

Pizza Withdrawal
Lived in Holbrook / Brockton for 40+ years. All through my life when drawn away (service, school, etc), the thing I missed most (foodwise) was Lynwood Pizza. Now I'm in Southern Florida and still can taste those wonderful pies in my mind. Any time I'm back up north Lynwood's is a must on the schedule. I have not found any pizza in all my travels that even comes close.

Order Crispy and Foil Wrapped
I live in LA and grew up in Holbrook so I always make Lynwood my first stop for a takeout dinner to take to the family enroute from Logan. My family now lives further down Rte. 24 and it's trickier keeping the pizza perfect after the longer drive. The owners have me order them extra crispy and with foil on the bottom surface of the cardboard plate to keep the bottom of the pizza from getting soggy. Now it travels perfectly. These are the best pizzas nationally and it is said that Andy Card from Holbrook (W's chief of staff and Bush Sr's Sec. of Trans) brought the Lynwood Pizza to DC.in the '80s. Rumor has it, the White House Chef has been trained in the top secret recipe and the Randolph water is shipped in to give the dough the right consistency. This cafe looks like a dive but is worth visiting. If you have or ever had family on the South Shore, you will usually discover several people at the bar who are no more than three or four degrees of seperation from your relatives. It's a hoot. If you leak your last name and admit to having moved out of state, everyone will take a poll about whether anyone knows your kin. And they do, so you have to behave yourself in this cozy neighborhood bar. Don't let the rough exterior fool you. This is a place "where everyone knows your name."

Lynwood Is Best on Weekends
I lived in Randolph for a year and a half; Lynwood should sell stock cause I could have bought some with as many times as I bought their pizza. Great place to watch a ball game, eat unbeleivable pizza and drink dollar drafts. When I say ball game who else do I mean but Manny, Pedro and Nomar?

Lynwood Really Is the Best
Grew up in Randolph and now live in CA but every trip 'home' has to include a reunion with the gang at Lynwood's. As a child, it was always a treat to get pizza. Suprisingly untouched by the economy woes, pizzas are still in the $5 range. And draught beer and soda at unbelievable prices too. Only detractor is that MA hasn't outlawed smoking in bars and restaurants and I've grown to detest cigarette smoke. And as previously noted, this place is really popular but the wait for a table is always worth it. Or order to go and have "parking lot pizza", another tradition with my gang.

Bring Lynwood Pizza to Florida
Absolute best pizza in the world. No comparison to anything out there. Miss it so much since moving to Florida. You guys could make a bundle down here with all the people from New England that come down here and miss the cooking.

Best Pizza Anywhere
Grew up in Randolph. Went on vacation with my family when very young and had a sticker on my bicycle that said Randolph. Met another family from Randolph and the only thing they asked was if I knew where Lynwood was. That was all they needed to know to see if I was really from Randolph. Every from the area knows this is the place for pizza but order early or wait. But absolutly worth the wait.

Lynwood Franchise
The absolute number one tasting pizza in the country. I've been all over and there is no other recipe even close to resembling Lynwood's. Its size is handy, the price of 5 bucks for a plain cheese is half that of Pizza Hut, and the taste is perfect. I'd love to franchise the recipe and name.

Pizza and Beer
Pizza is great, but you better want pizza. That's all there is. Service is good in a neighborhood bar sort of way. Crowded, loud, smokey, but a great choice for takeout.
