Wonderful atmosphere, terrific food
Set in a renovated early 20th century home, the atmosphere at Lasher's is relaxing and romantic. Owner Ray Lasher, who serves as host is welcoming and attentive, and the service is equally excellent and friendly, without the all too frequent over-friendliness often found in restaurants today. The food is equally terrific. On a recent visit, I enjoyed a great starter of Maryland Crab Cakes, followed by Butternut Squash Bisque, and then Rack of Lamb with a Merlot reduction and Yukon Gold mashed potatoes. The only criticism I had was that the soup was a little under-seasoned. The Sunday Brunch also looks great. Rather than the usual buffet of various salads and carved meats, Lasher's offers a variety of great-sounding menu items to order for table service. I highly recommend Lasher's.
