If you want a fastburger and a soda, then go to McDonald’s. But if you want the best burger in East County and a cold beer, then Johnny B’s on La Mesa Blvd. is definitely the place to be. I like to go when they are not busy, that way I can get a beer within 60 seconds of sitting down and a cheeseburger that’s still sizzling from the grill before my beer is half finished. The locals are friendly and the waitresses are smart and sassy. A nice clean place to get a meal, watch a game,
or just hang out with friends. This is the best little tavern in La Mesa.
