My dad is from Cuba, so at our house we eat Cuban food almost on a daily basis. Cuban food has got to be one of my all time favorite meals. But since both my parents cook almost everyday of the week it's nice to let someone else do the cooking for you on the weekends. My dad inquired aboutHuntington Beach Tropics which we formerly knew as "Havavna Cafe", well he took my mom, and I and let me tell you the ambiance for one was very beautiful, very intimate and just peaceful, they had a live band playing a variety of music, like salsa, latin jazz and boleros. The food is a whole other story, it had great flavor, and could be compared to my dad's great cuban food that we eat at home too, so that was a plus! The service was great as well the waiters were very attentive and very servicial, even if it was on a saturday, when business really picks up. My dad ordered The "Fricase de pollo", my mom ordered the "Chulletas de Puerco", and I orderded "Ropa Vieja." It was all so delicious I would definately reccomend it to anyone and I will be making a trip back soon! For appetizers, I would recommend the ground beef "Empanadas", and the famous "Sandwich Cubano." So try it out!
