pleasant surprise
In general, we are fairly negative about the Hungry Hunter chain but were pleasantly surprised at the very good food and excellent service at a recent birthday party at the Lafayette location. We had a party of 14 people and every person remarked on how good the food was and at reasonable prices. Recognize we are not talking gourmet cooking here but then it is not gourmet prices either. Excellent value. We will definitely return to this location although the other Hungry Hunters can continue to pound sand.

Twelve of us had dinner at the Hungry Hunter in Lafayette on 3/20/04 and we all had a wonderful dinner. The food was excellent. The service was outstanding - it was so good that the young man that was our waiter earned a 33% tip. He was gracious, friendly, well-mannered and is a tribute to the establishment.
Recommended: Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, Beer Battered Shrimp

New York Strip steak my husband had was a poor quality of meat, very tough. Your ladies restroom stinks so bad it ruined the meal I just ate. You have a sign in the bathroom that you take pride in cleanliness. I told the hostesses at the front desk about the smell and they were aware of it and said others had complained also. Why had it not been taken care of then? It is sad you have let this restaurant deteriorate like this. We will not return or recommend you to anyone.
