Japanese B.B.Q. dining.

-- Best Happy Hour 2006 Nominee

Gyu-Kaku is all about fun and food. You are your own chef, cooking tasty morsels perfectly to your liking and importantly, it’s ready to eat at the table. It’s fun, delicious and an ideal way to share a meal with family and friends. There's a saying in Japan, "People who eat together from the same pot of rice develop and enjoy stronger, meaningful and long lasting relationships". At Gyu-Kaku you can share the warmth not only of our delicious food, but also the warmth of your family and friends.

What users are saying about Gyu-Kaku:
"I had a bad experience in GYU-KAKU. In general, GYU-KAKU is not generous with its meat. It's really not worth paying the price to eat there. It's far from being reasonable. I will never recommend anyone to go to GYU-KAKU." (Read More)

checked out the place on friday night with a group of friends and the place immediately reminded me of sushi-roku...luckily the quality of the  food wasn't like sushi-roku...service was great, had my girl thao (sp?) as the waitress...the layout of our seats were kinda weird...they gave us a table against the wall so everyone was on one side facing into the restaurant...since we were pretty much lined up against the wall it was difficult to talk to everyone at the table...besides that the food is what i expected and very tasty...much better than those all-you-can eat korean bbq places in ktown but i guess it was expected....definitely worth checking out but don't expect to be full afterwards...oh yeah..hostesses were kinda cute :P

I like ordering a variety of meat and vegetables and grilling them.  Very tasty.  You can even make your own smores for dessert the good old fashioned way.

It's pretty much the same as Gyu-Kaku in Japan. I've been to the one in Shibuya, Tokyo, and somewhere in Osaka and its exactly the same. It's authentic alright but I have been to places in Japan that make GK look like McDonalds...
