I have been to the Gulf Stream a few times and overall the services, food and wine is exceptional. The wild rice with scallops is my favorite and would highly recommend the oysters at any occasion. The only bad comment I have is the noise in the restaurant. Instead, I enjoy the outdoors underneath the large Sycamores and near the firepits instead of the interior. A great place to take a date and/or out-of-town guests.

I have been to Gulf Stream a quite a few times and my feelings have not changed. With the exception of the salmon, all the food I have received has been slightly dry and almost tasteless. If it were not for the extensive wine list and the fantastic walnut sauteed beets I would not have returned at all. Servers need to inform customers when a menu listed side dish is out, and this pretty much describes the service overall. Servers are almost non existent and Im not sure if they are not familiar with the menu or just don't care. The last, and most likely my last, time there I ordered the ono with my favorite walnut sauteed beets, only to be served a dry and tasteless white lump and tomato slices with olive oil! I think a little courtesy would help this place immensely, and perhaps it is time for a new chef.
