I don't mean Star the new poster but a well known person, preferably a big name movie-star just hanging around in a restaurant. I have been to LA twice and the only person that I recognised (other than my wife) was a very grumpy Macy Gray, who was sitting in the corner of a bar scowling. I thought being in the City of Angles that I wouldn't be able to move for A-listers... Wrong!
I thought I may catch one in Spago's or on my tour of Hollywood Homes but no luck there either! Perhaps I will hang around outside the Vanity Fair party at the next Oscars..........
My wife is famous in her own lunchtime. I do, however, always manage to recognise her; I think that it is only polite to recognise one's spouse when one sees them in the street.
Well having never been to LA I have not seen any stars there but I have seen some around where I live. I have seen Robert Redford out jogging, he has a house about 1/2 hour from where I grew up and Dr J (basketball player) also had a house that was close to my parents so you would see him out in the yard with the horses that he had.
Your'e looking in the wrong areas. Try the Valley. That is were many of them go for chow. Especially Woodland Hills around the Topanga Mall and down Ventura Blvd. I have seen Emilio Estavez, Gary Busey, Michael Jackson (years ago tho), Jeff Bridges, etc.... Also, look more towards Bev Hills rather than LA. Good Luck. PS- Celebs are usually cool if you are casual towards them.
About a year ago, I saw Angelina Jolie with her son in the Baskin Robbins at 10916 Kinross Ave in Westwood. I didn't recognize her at first because she was wearing dark sunglasses, but I recognized her kid. ('hey, that looks like the kid Angelina Jolie carries around all the time in the magazine photos') Then I looked at her again and realized that it was Angelina Jolie. They were with another female companion whom I did not recognize.
Several years ago, I saw Meg Ryan buying something from the newsstand at the corner of Kinross Ave and Broxton Ave.
I also saw Keri Russell ("Felicity") standing near the Kinross/Gayley in the evening a couple of years ago.
I met brad pitt with a woman that may or may not have been an actor as well eating lunch a year or two ago at sushi nogawa in the valley. He looks a lot shorter in real life.
