Stayed at the Hyatt West Hollywood on my second stay. It has a small restaurant downstairs which serves reasonable food. Best thing was their salads - simple and not drowned in dressing. Good place for lunch.
The other great thing about the Hyatt is that it is a legitimate rock and Roll hotel. Apparently, it's where all the Rock acts go to and some scenes from Spinal Tap were filmed there. Plenty of other legends about the place as well.

Don't you hate it when you've forgotten to sign-in and then post?
I have never stayed at the Hyatt! I will definantly have to give it a try the next time that I come to LA. I don't get there but once a year and usually stay somewhere a little less expensive, but now that I have a little more money I was looking for something a little more classy.
From the website the Hyatt looks to be well located and has beautiful rooms. What are the prices like though in the restaurant, as compared with other restaurants? Would I need a second mortgage for a week's stay?
I can't remember what the room rates were but I know that I only needed an unsecured loan for a week rather than a second mortgage. We were there during the Spring and they were not completely full. They were also very amenable when we wanted to stay longer and offered us a good rate. The restaurant was also fairly priced, but please don't ask me exact prices as it was a while ago. I've been to India since; that was definitely cheaper.
