We have been going to El Paso Cantina in Torrance since the early 1970's. We used to go to the ones in Marina Pacifica in Long Beach, and also the one in Huntington Beach before they closed. We have never been intimidated (like the one person mentioned,) but have only had very friendly service every time. OR COURSE, the salsa (which is mild) is the best, and I always put it on my salad or entree as well as use it for a chip dip! My favorite thing to order is the fajita tostada. Yes, we still go there and have been driving over an hour each way to get there from Orange County since 1978. That's how good it is.

My husband and I absolutely LOVE this place. I dont have any bad things to say about this place except for the guy serving the chips and salsa should smile more (Don't know he's name but I usually go there to eat on Fridays or Saturdays). He's never that friendly but I guess that is no big deal as long as he keeps having the chip n salsa coming :) I would recommend this place to anyone that wants to have GREAT mexican food. My husband and I had our rehearsal dinner before our Wedding day and it was the most pleasant experienced. For dessert I recommend the Deep Fried Ice Cream. Its the BEST!

We started going there back in the late 70's. We have since moved to south Orange County but we still go there when we are in Torrance. We love the food and I am dying to get the recipe for the salsa!!!

we eat there several times a month. they have the best chips and salsa in the whole world!! i have never had bad service, but they don't go above and beyond on the service either. i think that is mostly because i've never been there when the place wasn't packed to the brim and the waiters are just very very busy. the happy hour is great- cheap and yummy appetizers and drinks. i like the poco loco salad best. love this place!

When this resturant first opened thay had a location in Cerritos back in the 80's. I was just a kid and my family ate there all the time. I craved the salsa, and would eat it as fast as they could bring it. The sole remaining location is in Torrence, and even though it's about 100 miles from my house, I will eat there whenever I'm in the area. I too need this recipe!

The best chips and salsa my husband and I ever had. We have been going there for over 26 years. The salsa never changes. Does anyone have the recipe????? Also the best steak fajitas and the best fried ice cream. Please get me the recipe as I now live in Prescott, AZ and can't find good salsa anywhere. The service has always been good and has changed people over the years but not the food. I would and have recommended El Paso Cantina to many people over the years. We have had birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers and many, many business lunches when I worked and had to entertain my clients who wanted mexican cuisine. Please get me the salsa recipe........

One of my favorite restaurants for over 10 years. We usually eat in the bar enjoying our favorite sport on big screen tv. Best salsa in town.

Stay away!!!
This place is by far the worst of its kind. They employ gang members that use intimidation tactics to get a big tip. My server was a young man from El Salvador who was rude and kept getting calls on his cell phone from Hinas? Whatever that is. He even had the never to drink the rest of my corona! The food is not good at all. How could you be a Mexican restaurant and not have chipotle sauce!!! Beware the only good thing here was the chips and salsa! That I had to pick up from another table!
Recommended: chips and salsa! from the tabvle next to me. because my server didnt bring any!
