A Genuine Pleasure
We have eaten lunch at Deuce five times in the past 4 months. As Bay Area residents, we are used to good food and we dislike a pretentious atmosphere. Deuce is a genuine pleasure to visit: pleasant wait staff, nice surroundings, and you can always count on the special of the day to be outstanding. This chef understands how to buy and prepare what is fresh and cheap, so the specials never put you into debt. Eat on the patio in nice weather--it is quieter there. If you do not have a hug appetite at lunch, order a salad plus and entree to split--plenty for you both.
