I was there back in the mid 90s as our celebration for finishing the Presidio National Service Executives' Leadership School and absolutely LOVED it. Not only because the food was great, the atmosphere was heady, but also because of the reason behind Delancy Street. Everything was great and I've told many people about it and how they need to go there. You can feed your soul and mind as well as your stomach. How many restaurants can give you all of that at a great price? I can't remember what I ordered (or what anyone else ordered), but everyone was so very impressed with the whole experience. If you need a great restaurant to go to in San Francisco that won't empty out your wallet, Delancy Street is the place to go.

The Best
I have lived in San Francisco for almost six years, but I was introduced to Delancy Street before that time. In fact, I hosted my daughter's wedding reception at DS a month before I moved here. The reception was small and elegant. The food was great, the ambiance hard to beat, the service absolutely spectacular. My sister-in-law and I have a monthly lunch date at DS, and it is also the place our family inevitable chooses for birthdays and special occasions. I live in the Marina, don't own a car, but I'm willing to travel by cab to enjoy this super restaurant.
Recommended: Second bes chocolate mousse in the world, great garlic and rosemary chicken
