CHRIS' & PITT'S IS THE BEST IN THE US. I grew up near the one in North Downey on Lakewood & Gallatin. The only thing that I hated was being on a diet, sitting on our patio and smelling the smoke that spread all the way down Gallatin. We mvoed to NW Arkansas and even though it's the south no one compares to C & P. It's the first place we eat when we go to LA for vacation. As for the elders in my family-they all miss eating there more than any place in California. I brought my Aunt a gallon of C & P's Sauce from Smart and Final. I need to find a way to order some by mail. We have taken friends of our childrens to C & P on vacation and they loved it. Too bad they didn't go nationwide. There is nothing better. I also used their catering service for the company picnic for my old employer. They did an awesome job-100% perfection.

Chris and Pitts was my 1st J.O.B as a set up girl and then a Hostess I was 15 it's been more then 21 years ago I could still remember the smell of smoke in my clothes there BBQ was the best I've ever had..and still after all the years since Ive been away from my home town of whittier I still remember the teast on the tip of my toung..Now I plan on going home for the near holidays to see old friends and family and to take my 2 kids to see mom's 1st place she ever worked at and to see if there still a few gals working there which I sometimes hear they are still there.....I can't wait till my kids eat there and I have another surpirse for them while we sit there I will tell them thats where I met your daddy.. he was waiting for his take out............DO EAT THERE ITS YUMMY""""""" Ronnie (Veronica gonzalez (Pollard''

I have always enjoyed Chris' & Pitt's restaurants since I was a child. If you love barbeque, steak or chicken fried steak then this is the place for you. The decor probably hasn't been updated since the 70's but it is a comfortable place to eat with big portioned meals. They have both a lunch and dinner menu and bar style seating for those dining solo.
