Chow fills a big space in the SF dining scene: affordable homestyle cooking with a definite Bay Area attitude. I would return for the friendly service and good cooking, although I will know next time not to expect bells and whistles. This is where you go to get the kind of food you'd cook at home on a weeknight if only you had the time and ability.
