I had a very bad experience at the West Hartford Cheesecake Factory a few weeks ago. I wrote and called the corporate office and left messages- they never afforded me the courtesy of a response.
I will never set foot in the restaurant again.But isn't it that all it takes- one bad horrendous experience?
Here is what happened; My wife and I have been eating at the Cheesecake Factory nationwide for the past 15 years at least once a week since this new location opened in November 2007. We had particularly liked their brunch menu on Sundays...it was my wife's birthday and after waitng 1 hour we were seated. After another 20 minutes, we were able to order. The food came to the table after waiting another 45 minutes.. everything was cold and the eggs and sausage unprepared, cold and raw. The actual egg yoke from my wife's Eggs Benedict was so raw that it slid off the plate and onto the table. the Belgium waffle was cold and hard.
when we summoned the waitress, she told us new orders would be cooked to our liking...after another 45 minutes the same food was somehow reheated. It was the same Eggs benedict minus the one yoke and the same waffle even harder than before. The restaurant attempted to cut corners and think we were naiive enough not to notice the same thing being reserved.
The manager came to our table and claimed how humbley sorry he was and would make it right- a slice of cheesecake for the table of 3 persons or $6.95 to appease us. We had begun to notice 3 weeks ago that a great deal off patrons were returning their food back to the kitchen.
In my following up with customer service, the non response by the chain shows exactly how concerned they were for this incident and my business. There are too many other restaurants that want my busienss.
By the way, have eaten at the chain so often, we purchased the stock too...
