Casa Jimenez has some early morning specials that are worth noting, especially for those dinners who get there before 8am. It has been years since I went there, but looks to be the same people operating it, so the food and the service, as noted by other users, are both good. These specials are traditional Mexican dishes, as far as I could tell, like huevos rancheros, which I always order and enjoy.

The specials themselves are so low priced (or were when I last went by there, and I don't think they would change this key attraction), I always figured they were loss-leaders; you taste the food from the specials, then come back at a time when it's after the specials, when they can make money.

I have never seen Casa Jimenez lacking for patronage; indeed, it has seemed to remain very popular, always having crowds, in this past decade and a half, when many other restaurants are folding.

I would recommend Casa Jimenez to any of my friends who enjoy traditional Mexico food.
