Love the Pope Room
We took my grandson there for his birthday with family and friends. We had so much fun and all ate and drank way too much. It cost us a fortune but well worth it. All the dishes we ordered were very good. I do have to agree with the previous review in that the bread pudding was not like any I had tasted before; in fact it was the only thing we left behind. It helps to drink a lot because they have the music so loud that even in the Pope Room you can't hear over it.

The chicken cacciatore was easily the best dish I sampled. The chicken was tender, and the sauce was great - lots of capers. It's served on top of garlic mashed potatoes, which pick up flavor from the chicken and sauce. Grab some potatoes early, before everyone else realizes how good they are. The green beans with olive oil and lemon are very good - not over- or undercooked, with the right balance of lemon juice, salt, and oil. The tiramisu is pretty good, but skip the bread pudding.
