Our visit to Bogarts last weekend was a superb evening. Our waiter, Jimmy, made the suggestions on fresh oysters, prime rib with king crab legs, finished off with a couple of chocolate martini's and a banana foster. Everything was prepared to perfection. I will definitely be telling my friends and family to join me at Bogarts.

We went to Bogarts on Saturday night 5:00 called first and was told they had seating available, we were put on the list no problem. Well when we got there there we no tables available and was told we were put on the list however it's not held until we get there what's the point!! A party of 6 showed up no reservations or pre call and they were seated immediately. We waited another 20 minutes and asked to sit in the bar area in the back booths. We had to wait 10 minutes for wait staff 20 minutes for drinks, the wait person said she would be back to take our order, I said no take it now we may never see you again. The food was good the service was awful! We will never go back!

I don't know if it was a off day or not but yesterday they should have just kept the doors closed. Went there on Oct 20. 06 at about 2:45 pm. Now I had called earlier and asked about handicapp access and they assured me that it was. well it was to get in but after that it was different story. The bar had about 8 ppl at it and the station where we went to be seated was empty. My wife just had hip replacement 3 weeks ago and we had to stand there (her in a walker ) for almost 20 minutes then had to ask is anyone was working today. The cook finally ran around for another 5 minutes and found a young waiter and I asked for 2 in smoking and he said that the only smoking was in a raised booth in the bar area. Now she can't climp up into the raised booth so we decided to go non smoking, even tho I know they have 3 seperate dineing areas that are walled off from each other they wouldn't budge OH WELL. He led us to a booth in one of the rooms which had only people at 2 other tables in the whole room and when I asked for a table. He turned and let out a long low breath and moan and led us to the other end of the room when there was a table right behind us and threw down the menues and said,"Here then take this one." and proceeded to walk away and into the kitchen. I got my wife seated and we started to talk about the way things were going. We didn't see or hear from our waiter for about 15 minutes and got up and left. Not only did we not see or hear from him neither did either of the other 2 tables. I can't see why this happened but will tell you that we won't be returning to Bogarts and I hope the management reads this. We went then to Texas Roadhouse on RT 45 and I-80 and I had the 24 oz Sirloin and the wife had her pettie filet and they even did a birthday thing for her. The food was great and the service was execellent and I think I found a new place to go for a good steak and one that is alot better than Bogarts and alot friendlier. I also will be telling every one I told about Bofarts how bad they have gotten.

The meal was one of the best in the Area. I called ahead on a Saturday night and heard it was an hour wait, so I added my name on the waiting list. I was quoted an hour wait, so I finished getting ready an got in the car and headed to Bogarts. When we arrived there was valet, which was nice because parking seemed to be scares. I proceed to the front desk to them I was there. They had told me they are cleaning up my table now and I could be seated in just a moment. Oh boy did I get dirty looks from the other customers, I guess they didn't know you could call ahead. Well we started off with a few cocktails, (i had the chocolate martini, it was the BEST I have ever had with cocoa around the rim of the glass) I had the queen filet (I swear it was a King size but the server reasured me that it was the queen size. Husband had the shrimp scampi wish I have to admit I was stealing off his plate. Everything about our meal was great and we even had enough to have left-overs the next day. I definately will be returning.

Didn't get it right
I ate at Bogart's on Saturday, August 10 at about 6:30pm. Before I could ask for a table the hostess asked if everyone was present. I was still waiting for my husband and was told, nobody is seated until the entire party has arrived. OK, I'll stand. I had my 4-yr old with me. There were no chairs outside of the bar area. I was exhausted, but I stood. Various parties came in, most were greeted with, "Has everyone arrived, there is no seating until all parties have arrived." What ever happened to, good evening welcome to Bogart's! I requested one of four tables in their outdoor seating area and was told 20 minutes. After about 10 minutes, one hostess commented to another, "I'll try to get that table to hurry up, they've been there a while." Referring to one of the tables in their outdoor area. I'm not sure what she said to the couple, but they came out rather quickly. My husband arrived, we were seated. When we were half way through our salad course, our entrees arrived. They said oops. But I watched as the next table had their entrees served during their salad course. I guess you shouldn't plan on hanging around at Bogart's. They obviously have a McDonald's turn around target to meet. The food was also disappointing. Canned green beans were served with my steak. The garlic mashed tasted like a flavor packet had been added (very commercial tasting). All in all, they didn't get it right. I will not be returning.
