We went to Black Olive for dinner on 6/9/2007. We ordered Ceasar's salad, Pesto ravioli, eggplant, and tiramisu for dessert. The salad they brought was very tiny, We paid for a full salad but I think what we had was the salad that was included with the meal. the plate was so small that the waiter's fingers were inside the plate. The soup was good but he was supposed to put the bowl on a saucer so that his fingers wouldn't touch the border of the bowl. The tiramisu was very light and tasteless. We paid $40.00 for this meal.
Today we went to Macarroni Grill where we order "Create your Own Pasta" and the Ceasar's Salad came for only $1.98. The serving was much bigger than the one we ordered at The Black Olive for more tha $6.00.
I don't think we would like to go back to the Black Olive.
Furthermore, we heard other people complaining about their order at The Black Olive. They said that their sauce tasted like paste.

Best the Italian Diner in town.
Charming restaurant with great food. The bread is incredible. Always like what we order - nothing has ever dissappointed.

Best Italian!! My All Time favorite.
I've never had a bad experience here. Quaint atmosphere, good service, delicious food and the complimentary bread & dip are the best! This is honestly my favorite Italian restaraunt ever and recommend it often.

Cozy Italian
Our hostess/waitress seemed a bit snotty, but everyone else was very helpful and nice. The bread was great, the dishes were fresh and delicious (although I had salad, I tried my date's gnocci). The soup was very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was great... the only thing I didn't like about the atmosphere was the Italian music was too loud.
Recommended: minestrone soup, gnocci

The Perfect Romantic Spot
My fiance and I tried this restaurant when we first started dating. We've been going back for the past three years. The setting is wonderfully classy but not overdone.
