2 Bad experiences: 1st time A group of six of us went for dinner we ALL got our food at different times and it took an unreasonable amount of time to get our food which consisted of simple items. 2nd time My friend had made reservations for the karaoke bar upstairs.They "lost" her reservation when they seen our group. Prior to that our reservation was secured. They were very unaccommodating and if anything seemed like they wanted us to leave. When my friend then asked if our party could sit at the unused available table, they said the table was already reserved, then they went and put a reserved sign on it. So we made do & sat at the bar. Then they came up to us and asked us to pay a cover charge which was never imposed before that. You would think after "losing" our reservation they would somewhat be accommodating if anything it really seemed like they wanted us gone.We then decided to just leave we had ordered one pitcher of beer and my friend left the money for it at the bar. The chef & owner then ran after us out in the street asking if we were trying to leave without paying for our pitcher of beer.My friend then told them he did leave the money at the counter. They said nothing. For some reason they just assumed we had not paid. Unfortunately I can only link this to us being the only group of Latin people in the establishment. We are all young professionals who were not in anyway being disruptive, rude or showing any type of negative behavior. I am sad to see that this day in age people still show such ignorance.

This place is amazing!
Bishamon has everything that you need at a japanese sushi bar, even an upstairs level for kareoke. The japanese staff provide excellent service and the food is some of the freshest I've tasted in Los Angeles. Go check it out. Perfect dark and relaxing atmosphere.
