The Best Italian Ever
We found this restaurant by chance, visiting from Scotland - boy what a find! The best Italian restaurant we have ever been to (and we have travelled the world). Very friendly welcome, great atmosphere and exceptional food. Worth flying to Toronto just to eat there.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome
I went to the Big Ragu with my Uncle who is a friend of Carmen's. I must say as soon as we walked in we were greeted with friendly smiles and handshakes. We had a variety of appetizers to start and my favorite was the Portabello Mushroom Salad, the presentation, smell and taste was Awesome. The homemade foccacia left you wanting more. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was great. Carmen is the "friendly chef" and Christine is the "friendly wait-staff". I highly recommended The Big Ragu.

Excellent Food from a Friendly Chef
When you eat at the Big Ragu Chef Carmen introduces himself or says hi every time you visit. His staff are friendly and helpful in recommending dishes, wines, but are not pushy or overbearing in any way. Fresh foccacia, a misto bruchetta appetizer, and osso bucco are some of the favourites we've had here. Carmen is highly creative with his dishes - as some recent additions to his menu attest. Highly recommended.
