We ate there today for the first time. (7/7/08) Blah! The matzoh ball soup was the most bland I have ever had. The pastrami sandwich was decent, but the potato salad is not homemade, and it is sweet like the kind you get at the local supermarket. I would save my money for Katella Deli in Los Alamitos, or the little whole in the wall place in Laguna Hills called Kosher Bite.

We are a family of 5 and eat there all of the time and in the last year they have done a ton of remodeling for the 40th anniversary! 40 years says something right there! It is one of the few remaining family owned places in the county. The food is always great and there is a huge selection which is why it works so well for us. My husbands fav is the Benjie sandwich my kids love the chicken fingers and the prime rib dip is to die for! If you love comfort food there is always their famous homemade chicken soup (actually all of the soups are yummy) or a fab turkey dinner with homemade real mashed potatoes and gravy! If we don't want to eat out we will get it to go. A hot tip; they sell a frozen beef or chicken pot pie that you bake at home and it's awsome.

In response to that moron who said he could get a better sandwich at home: well, that's just the point, idiot! If people wanted to eat at home, they wouldn't go out to eat. Nothing can compare to home cooking. This site is designed for those who don't WANT to eat at home.

I highly recommend the "Francheesy" sandwich, it's been dubbed a 'heart-attack on a plate'. And for those a little more into home style cooking, I'd get either the Short Ribs or the Chicken in a pot....both are enough for two (but order 20 minutes in advance). And during those cold months, nothin' says luvin' like Matzo Ball Soup. Ohh, and look for me, Joei and Kim at Karaoke every Friday nights (it happens Sat. nights too)! It starts at 9pm, so come get your song on!!! And tell them Godfrey Daniels sent ya!!!! -Bryan (on MySpace as 13Bryan13)

The Bar
The lounge here is what lounge is supposed to be. The Kibbutz Lounge, which has music on Thursdays and karaoke on Fridays and Saturdays is decently priced for a lounge and has a great crowd. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience here.
